Real estate crowdfunding is a modern form of collective investment in construction and urban development projects. It consists of pooling capital with other people to take part in real estate projects that, on an individual basis, would be hard to reach.

Through a digital platform, many investors contribute funds that are channelled into a specific project. Once construction is finished and the targets are met, the gains are distributed among all participants on a pro-rata basis.

This model lets people with limited capital invest in large-scale projects such as residential buildings, housing complexes or the renovation of existing buildings, which is increasingly relevant in the context of Chile's urban growth.
